BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND
BY: COURTNEY ELMER
Growing up, my dad always told me: ‘Courtney, begin with the end in mind.’
There have been SO many times in my life when I haven’t followed that advice.
Instead, I just dove headfirst into whatever it was — sometimes successfully, sometimes only to fall flat on my face. (Can you relate?)
But, it’s in those moments of face-planting that I’m often reminded of my dad's age-old wisdom.
Because for most of us, we go into business with a mission, a calling.
And as we strive to impact more and more people, we get so caught up in the day-to-day that we don’t ever consider what's down the road.
Chances are, you’ve probably never even thought about selling your business. Right?
I get it. Because going into business for myself was one of those moments where I did NOT begin with the end in mind.
But this was a big mistake and inside this week's episode with my friend Nate Lind, a business broker and exist strategist who's helped hundreds of entrepreneurs generate millions in passive income through the sale of their business, is here to tell you why.
So, if you've never thought about what it means to build a sellable business — even if you never plan on selling yours — you owe it to yourself to listen to this, to ensure you're doing everything you can to increase the value of your business and turn it into a profitable, passive-income generating machine.
When you tune in, you'll learn...
How to grow your business and increase its value
Where you should look if you want to create more passive income
What NOT to do if you want to build a digital business that can run without you
